This pleasant country house can be found just a few kilometers from Castelnuovo Don Bosco, on the edge of a small hilltop village known as the 'Balcony of the Monferrato' for its magnificent panoramic position.
The village of Castelnuovo Don Bosco, birthplace of the founder of the Salesian Order, Don Giovanni Bosco, is located in the province of Asti and offers everything required for day-to-day living. The area is known as the Alto Astigiano, a beautiful hilly landscape that stretches between Asti and Turin. Renowned for its castles, monasteries and picturesque hilltop villages, it is a patchwork of vineyards, meadows and forests. Here you will find excellent restaurants, various cultural activities and an intricate network of small roads and walking trails that make the area particularly popular with cyclists and hikers.
House
The country house, built in 2003 to a high standard, is located in a small and quiet side-street on the edge of the village. The building faces south and all of its rooms boast outdoor access - to a large sunny terrace on the ground floor, and to two spacious balconies on the first floor. Thanks to its special orientation, the house appears to float above the landscape - an effect that is perceivable from nearly every room.
Accommodation
Ground Floor
The entrance leads into a large, airy living / dining room with two glass doors and access to the large south-facing terrace. A cozy Swedish stove provides pleasant warmth in the transitional seasons of the year.
Also on the ground floor is a spacious kitchen with a large glass door that opens onto the south terrace, a guest WC, and stairs leading down to the basement.
First Floor
From the living room on the ground floor, the central staircase leads up to the first floor. Here there is a spacious double bedroom with access to a balcony, a bathroom and another large room, currently used as a day room, which also has access to an additional balcony. If required, this bright room could also be divided into two separate bedrooms.
Basement
From the entrance area on the ground floor, another staircase leads to down the basement: here are located a guest room, a storage room, a shower room with a sauna, and the boiler room. A reinforced door connects the hallway in the basement with the garage, which provides space for a vehicle as well as a useful storage area.
Garden
The fenced garden plot that surrounds the house has been designed to blend in with the surrounding hillside terraces. It is well-maintained, planted with flowers, evergreen shrubs and trees, and provides plenty of space for a vegetable garden.
